Stepping Stones Preschool in Elizabeth offers a Christian Montessori based program with the philosophy of developmental learning through discovery, an approach based on respect for each child as an individual, as well as on a sensitivity to each child’s way of learning. Children learn, grow and acquire skills as they play. They increase their creativity and understanding at their own pace.
Our preschool program offers an integration of developmentally appropriate education, whole language learning and school readiness to help children feel good about themselves, master new skills, and develop a healthy desire to learn. The Center’s curriculum is designed to incorporate learning in all areas of development – spiritual, intellectual, social, physical and emotional – through active involvement in play.
In-Home PreK
Stepping Stones Preschool is an in-home preschool. We work hard to make sure that our school feels like an extension of your family. Being in a private home setting provides children with the comfort of a cozy place because it is more informal that a traditional school. We also give the opportunity for children to enjoy many things that a day care center cannot provide: like interacting with pets, learning about cooking, family field trips and gardening to name a few. We have events throughout the year to bring families together to make a little community of our own. We want the preschool years to be a great experience with memories that will last a lifetime!
